Curry paste is an excellent ingredient for spicy flavor. It has been commonly used in Thai cuisine for many generations. It is a moist blend of ground or pounded herbs and/or spices and other seasonings. Many herbs in curry paste are well known for their treatment for health. Curry paste is very convenient for cooking because there are many ingredients for curry dishes. For example, red curry paste (Nam Prik Gaeng Daeng) contains ground coriander, cround cumin, lemon grass, dried chillies, prawn paste, onion, garlic, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, salt and cooking oil.
